Provincial Youth Union marks 45 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament

*“Following hero Ly Tu Trong’s steps” camping festival kicked off

Representatives of provincial leaders and provincial Youth Union awarding the certificates of merit to 100 outstanding Youth Union members of “Ly Tu Trong training class for Youth Union members”

As part of the “Following hero Ly Tu Trong’s steps” festival just taking place at Becamex Trade Center in the evening of October 18, provincial Youth Union grandly held a ceremony to mark the 45-year implementation of late President Ho Chi Minh’s testament (September 2, 1969-September 2, 2014), the 100th anniversary of hero Ly Tu Trong’s birthday (October 20, 1914-October 20, 2014) and the 58th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation’s traditional day (October 15, 1956-October 15, 2014), in attendance of provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem.

At the ceremony, provincial Youth Union reviewed the tradition of the above events, organized an art performance named “His name is shone forever”; held an exchange with outstanding Youth Union members; presented 3,500 books on President Ho Chi Minh’s testament to its affiliates; honored 2 collectives and 15 individuals for their excellent performance at the 2014 forums of “Following hero Ly Tu Trong’s steps” and “Propaganda and education of Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization”; honored 20 outstanding youth clubs and groups. Provincial Young Talent Fund also awarded 26 “Doan Thi Lien” scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils and students…

*On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of hero Ly Tu Trong, Ly Tu Trong primary school, on October 18, held a camping festival named “Following hero Ly Tu Trong’s steps” with the participation of more than 300 outstanding pupils of 4th and 5th  grades.

At the festival, there were 10 small camps with the names of young heroes who devoted their lives to the cause of national liberation: Le Van Tam, Be Van Dan, Vo Thi Sau, Vu A Dinh…On this occasion, the school also launched an emulation movement of “good learning”, a contest telling stories about hero Ly Tu Trong’s moral example.
