To strengthen the prevention and combat of dengue fever

Following the direction of Provincial People's Committee, Department of Health issued a written request to related units to strengthen the prevention and control of dengue fever in the province.

Accordingly, provincial media agencies promoted propagation activities, increased capacity, duration, and arranged appropriate time for communication about prevention and control of dengue disease. To medical units, it is necessary to cooperate with media agencies to enhance propagation for people to carry out the movement of sanitation and disease prevention; organize campaigns to eliminate mosquito larvae, eliminate discarded materials containing standing water; linking the prevention of dengue fever, epidemic prevention and control with the movements of new rural construction, urban civilization, cultural families, and other movements and community activities in the province.

In parallel, it is necessary to strengthen case monitoring, early detection, timely handle outbreaks; drastically organize activities to kill mosquito larvae, spray chemicals to kill adult mosquitoes on a large scale. For treatment facilities, it is necessary to strictly follow dengue diagnosis and treatment guidelines under the direction of the Ministry of Health.
