2015 Action Month for Food Safety launched in Bau Bang

The People’s Committee of Bau Bang district has just grandly held a ceremony to launch the 2015 Action Month for Food Safety with the theme of “Safe production, business and consumption of vegetables and meat”.

Last year, the district’s Steering Board of the Food Safety Program teamed up with functional agencies to well realize propaganda work on food safety and hygiene. The district also set up an inter-sectoral inspection delegation and made inspection tours to 169 food processing and trading facilities, 128 of which met standards on food safety and hygiene…

Running from April 15 to May 15, this year’s Action Month for Food Safety aims to raise awareness and responsibility of food producers, traders and consumers in food safety for vegetables and meat; enhance inspection on food safety and hygiene at food processing and trading facilities.

After the launching ceremony, participants paraded the main streets of the district’s Administration Center to propagandize and raise public awareness of food safety and hygiene.
