Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan just signed a decision on granting the 2010 National Quality Award to excellent businesses in production and business, increasing the quality of made-in-Vietnam products and services and raising their competitive edge in the global market integration. Accordingly, the whole country has 11 businesses being granted golden prizes and 85 others being offered silver ones.

Of the total, Binh Duong has 2 businesses winning golden prizes. They include Minh Long I Ltd. and Dong An Steel JSC. Meanwhile, Phuoc Hoa Rubber JSC, Pomina Steel JSC and Cuong Phat Ltd grabbed silver prizes.

Nguyen Thanh Hien, head of the local Bureau of Standard, Measure and Quality, said to join in the prizes, businesses must obey laws on environment and taxation.
