Activities taking care of policy beneficiaries on occasion of 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day

North Tan district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee, on July 25, held 9 delegations to visit and present 220 gifts to the local policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.

Of these, 35 were worth VND2million each from the province and 185 worth VND600,000 each from the district.

*The same day, leaders of Ben Cat district’s People’s Committee and Hoa Loi ward’s People’s Committee visited and presented gifts to the local heroic Vietnamese mothers, families of war invalids and martyrs.

In the visiting places, the delegation extended best regards to heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy beneficiary families while wanting them to further encourage their descendants to make contributions to the homeland.

It is known that on July 25 and 16, the ward’s People’s Committee also gave 126 gifts worth more than VND63million for policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors. 

*Di An town’s Youth Union has just teamed up with the Army Corps No.4 to visit and burn incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Tan Binh ward’s memorial monument and launch the 2016 “When drinking water, remember its source” Week and “Green Operation” campaign on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.

After the visiting ceremony, participating units got involved in many significant activities, including visiting and donating gifts to policy beneficiary families, heroic Vietnamese mothers; upgrading gratitude houses; dredging canals; providing free medical check-up, medicine for the poor and young workers; eradicating illegal advertising boards and cleaning up Le Phong Hong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai streets…
