From now till the end of this year, provincial DoIT will cooperate with the People’s Committees of other districts and provincial Youth Union to hold such 12 market days. Thanks to the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” market days frequently organized, Binh Duong now takes the lead in the “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnam-made goods” campaign in the country.

Since after the global economic crisis, provincial DOIT has teamed up with experienced units to organize the market days “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas and industrial parks” under the Government’s policy stimulating consumption demand, contributing to preventing economic downturn, maintaining economic growth, ensuring social welfare and encouraging the local people to use Vietnamese goods.

Over the past two years, provincial DoIT held 25 market days of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas”, helping the local people buy hi-quality Vietnamese goods with preferential prices and businesses develop their distribution network. It was estimated that each market day reached high revenue between VND350mln and VND1.4bln.

Many local businesses were really the fellow-traveler of the program to stimulate domestic consumption demand over the past time. Long Hai Enterprises with BD Mart chain was a typical example of this. Under the program, BD Mart brought a large amount of high-quality goods with prices lower than 10%-15% compared to that of the market. Hai Long Enterprises also mobilized other producers to take part in the province and received great support from them.

According to the assessment of provincial DoIT Director Nguyen Thi Dien, over the past time, the province well realized the program “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” to concrete the Party’s policy in the campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnam-made goods”. Through the program, businesses had the chance to expand their consumption market while customers had the chance to get access to hi-quality goods at cheap prices.
