Binh Duong Foreign Affairs Department celebrates its 10th anniversary and receives third-class Labor Medal

On December 20, at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Department of Foreign Affairs celebrated its 10th anniversary and received third-class Labor Medal. Attending the ceremony were Tran Van Nam, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial NA’s delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; provincial leaders through the periods; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consuls General.

Department of Foreign Affairs, which was founded in 2007, during 10 years of construction and development, has fulfilled its advisory role to provincial Party Committee, provincial People's Committee on the effective implementation of foreign affair programs, supported the process of socio-economic development of the province, it has become a dynamic bridge between Binh Duong and international friends. Provincial Foreign Affairs Department also actively promotes foreign cultural activities, strengthens and develops the friendship and international cooperation in order to introduce and promote the images of Binh Duong's land and people as well as special characteristics of the province, contributing to the common success in external activities of the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Liem, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the achievements of Department of Foreign Affairs in the last 10 years. In order to further promote the achievements, the Chairman of provincial People's Committee suggested that Department of Foreign Affairs should actively advise the provincial Party Committee and provincial People's Committee on effective implementation of foreign affairs; to be an effective contact point with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representative offices of Vietnam in foreign countries and foreign representative offices in Vietnam; thereby strengthening external economic activities, promoting the attraction of foreign investments, expanding cooperation with the international community.

On this occasion, Department of Foreign Affairs also received third-class Labor Medal from the State President for contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Ms. Ha Thanh, Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Affairs, received Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in diplomatic works. The provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in foreign affairs.
