On May 13, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front held a launching ceremony in Hanoi to support building houses of great solidarity for poor households in Dien Bien province. The launching ceremony was attended by leaders of the CPV, the State, central departments, ministries and branches and was connected online to 63 bridge points throughout the country.
At the Binh Duong connection point was Nguyen Van Loc - Standing Member, Head of the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and members of the local Campaign Committee for the Day for the Poors.
According to the project of mobilizing support to build great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, it is expected to mobilize build 7,000 - 8,000 great solidarity houses for poor and nearly-poor households in Dien Bien province and some provinces in the Northwest in a period of 1 year from May 2023 to May 2024, of which about 5,000 houses are supported in Dien Bien province. The support amounts for each house is VND 50 million.
Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, many agencies, units, localities, businesses, organizations and individuals have registered to support the meaningful program.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee received registrations to support with a total value of more than VND 250 billion; at the same time, giving support for the first phase to Dien Bien province VND 200 billion. Particularly, Binh Duong province registered to support VND 10 billion to build houses of great solidarity for the poor in Dien Bien province.
Nguyen Van Loc said after the launching ceremony of the Central Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front that the province would advise the provincial Standing Party Committee to request to call on agencies, organizations and businesses, collectives, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, members of socio-political organizations, and people to actively support the program.
