To continue effectively realizing the movement of “Binh Duong’s youths take part in civilized urban construction”, provincial Youth Union has widely disseminated concrete action plans among its branches. Accordingly, provincial Youth Union will speed up dissemination of information about the Party, State’s policies and guidelines on protecting the environment and natural resources by many forms. This aims to raise public awareness of protecting the environment and building up green, clean and nice urban areas.

Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that one of concrete works done by the local Youth Union branches in civilized urban construction is to further maintain construction of “civilized streets and alleys”, contributing to solving the local people’s urgent matters on environment.

Under the “Building civilized streets, alleys” youth work “, the local Youth Union members will mobilize locals to plant green trees; organize monthly “Voluntary Saturday” and “Green Sunday” campaigns with the content of eradicating illegal advertising boards; eliminate “black” points on environment; engage in activities on urban rejuvenation…Provincial Youth Union and its branches have also regularly mobilized Youth Union members and locals to drop litter in the proper places, classify litter at source, not encroach on pavements; coordinated with the local administration to build roads and alleys with lighting and power systems ensured.

Mr.Dat added that provincial Youth Union has also continued promoting the campaign of “Youths with traffic culture”. Accordingly, provincial Youth Union and its branches have mobilized youths to have cultural behaviors when driving on roads; organized many practical activities to help Youth Union members perfect skills when driving, select and use quality helmets; held classes on safe driving and contests granting A1-class driving licenses to Youth Union members…

Some targets of the movement of “Binh Duong’s youths take part in civilized urban construction” in 2017 are to establish 10 “model youth lodging” facilities; mobilize and donate 6 “dream” rooms to needy young workers; organize 3 talk shows on international integration; carry out 45 programs on legal constancy free of charge under the Scheme of “Improving youths’ awareness of the law”; have 100% of Youth Union branches with at least one civilized street built and maintained…
