To celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024), Tan An ward in Thu Dau Mot city, on April 26, held an inauguration ceremony of the Ben Chanh monument, in attendance of Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s Party Committee.

The monument is built in Tan An ward’s quarter 2, with total investment of nearly VND 150 million, funded by the local organizations, individuals and people. According to historical records, in 1945, more than 100 people in the localities of Tan An, Tuong Binh Hiep and Dinh Hoa were massacred by the French colonialists in the area. Also in the area, the local self-defense forces took many measures to fight against the enemy during the resistance war against the French colonialists…

The construction of the monument aims at spreading the patriotic tradition and the spirit of courageous sacrifice for the nation's independence and freedom while preserving the local traditional and historical values.
