Do Thi Thu Ha, chairwoman of the communal Women Union, said the union has focused on spurring promulgation to mobilize members and cadres to raise awareness on environmental protection.

Aside from dissemination, the union has launched campaigns of cleaning environment, dredging canals and among others as well as mobilized local residents to collect garbage and leave waste at the stipulated areas.

Nguyen Thi Hong in My Hao 1 hamlet, said the locality-based streets are now very clean without garbage.

Aside from promulgation, the union has initiated a model of typical streets or set up self-control team on environmental protection… Do Thi Thu Ha added that purpose of these models are to mobilize people to keep environment.

In the coming time, the union will mobilize members to join in useful movements such as Green Sunday, Voluntary Saturday and so on as well as to cooperate with local authorities to hold more activities of environmental protection.
