Citizens recruited for the army in 2011: to ensure quantity and qualification

In the morning of November 2, Provincial People’s Committee summed up activities of army recruitment in 2011. Attending the conference was Major General Pham Van Di as Political Commissar of the 7th Military Region, Provincial People’s Committee Chair Le Thanh Cung and representatives of all-level military service council.

As the “full round” recruitment is observed this year, targets are met in terms of political requirements, morality, health, and education. The local authority has especially implement duly and legally procedures of Ministry of Defense and Military Region.

In 2011, 1,948 oders out of 1,700 were concluded to recruit young people with 14.88% of provisional forces as required by the government, of which 3.59% are qualified for colleges and universities and 2.94% are party members.

Addressing the conference, Major General Pham Van Di praised up the achievements mad and confirmed that the military recruitment, as long-term activity, is vital to a political system for its contribution to local socio-economic development.
