Commencement of humanitarian work to welcome the eighth Provincial Congress of Red Cross

On November 24, Provincial Red Cross cooperated with Red Cross of Phu Giao district to hold the groundbreaking of a humanitarian project of two Red Cross houses for two families having difficult circumstances in Phu Giao district. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross, attended the ceremony.

The two Red Cross houses were funded by the Provincial Red Cross with a construction cost of 160 million VND. The first house was built for the family of Do Thi Thuy, born in 1986, living in Tan Thai hamlet, An Thai commune. Thuy is currently raising a small child, has no home, her life is unstable, her family has no land, is a near-poor household.

The second house is built for Vu Thi Xuyen, born in 1962, living in Binh An hamlet, An Binh commune. Her family has two members, is a near-poor household. With poor health, she cannot do heavy work. Her son is currently in the army, family income is not stable.

These are 2 of the 26 Red Cross houses, with a total value of 2.8 billion VND supported by the Provincial Red Cross in districts, towns and cities in the province to celebrate the 8th Binh Duong Provincial Red Cross Congress, term 2021-2026.
