Over the past five year, Ben Cat district’s Youth Union promoted the campaign “Vietnamese youths follow Uncle Ho’s teaching” among youths. As many as 145 local youths were honored for their achievements in the campaign.

The local Youth Union also set up a club for young entrepreneurs under the program of “Lighting the dream of Vietnamese youths”, helping lighting the local youths’ dreams and aspirations on the way of setting themselves in business in order to make contributions to the homeland.

Realizing the role of youths in the cause of the national development, the district’s Youth Union has made efforts in the task of improving the local youths’ qualification. The district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs cooperated with provincial Job Placement Center to organize 32 vocational training classes for 1,202 youths.

Under the provincial project of “Offering help poor youths in economic development between 2011 and 2015”, the district’s Youth Union has so far donated 14 houses of compassion worth VND252mln to needy youths and policy beneficiary families.

The district’s Youth Union over time also promoted the campaigns of “Voluntary Summer”, “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary Saturday” among youths, contributing to the local socio-economic development. In the last tenure, the district’s Youth Union worked out 22 youth works valued at nearly VND1.8bln…

In the coming time, the district’s Youth Union will strive to carry out 250 bulletin-boards for young workers; grow and tend 5,000 green trees along the Thi Tinh river; give vocational training and employment for 1,500 youths; develop the Doan Thi Lien scholarship fund; further uphold patriotic traditions in the cause of national construction and development…
