Update: 06-03-2011 | 00:00:00

The Vietnamese film “Don’t Burn” began its tour of three continents, including Asia, Africa and Latin America, this year at the ALBA Cultural House in La Havana, Cuba on March 4.

This is one of many events celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Organisation of Solidarity of the People of Asia, Africa & Latin America (OSPAAAL).

Twelve films from members of the organisations’ secretariat will be shown in succession until February 2012 at the ALBA Cultural House.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Vu Chi Cong, General Secretary of OSPAAAL Alfonso Fraga, and representatives of the diplomatic corps attended the opening ceremony.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Cong said the film is based on a diary written by war doctor Dang Thuy Tram. Also, on this occasion, the Ambassador offered General Secretary Alfonso Fraga a copy of “The Diary of Dang Thuy Tram” translated into Spanish, which is published by Cuba’s social sciences publishing house.

A short documentary about the solidarity and friendship between Cuba and Asian countries, including Vietnam, was presented before the screening of “Don’t Burn”.
