Efforts to make more positive changes in administrative reform needed

Early November 6, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting of provincial Steering Committee for administrative reform, digital transformation, Project No.06 and Binh Duong smart city to assess the actual situation of implementing administrative procedures, removing obstacles for people and businesses in implementing administrative procedures.

The meeting was attended by Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee. At the meeting, representative of provincial Public Administration Center quickly reported the results of Index 766 of the 44th week, from October 30 to November 6. Accordingly, on November 6, Binh Duong province reached 74.9 points, ranking 15th nationwide, up 0.2 points and up 1 place compared to the results on October 30. The transparency of administrative procedures, progress in processing documents, online public services, digitalization... had positive changes. Many departments and sectors of Agriculture and Rural Development, Information - Communications, Construction and Justice excelled at digitalization. At the district level, Di An city took lead in the results of the Index 766 with 77.8 points. At the meeting, leaders of departments and sectors also discussed, proposed and recommended a number of solutions to resolve current bottlenecks so that document processing can be on schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thao requested departments and sectors to make efforts and determination to have more positive changes while focusing on analyzing and clearly pointing out bottlenecks and difficulties in order to put forward timely solutions for administrative reform work. Based on the functions and tasks of each sector, districts, towns, cities and communes will focus on resolving problems. He also requested leaders of units and agencies to uphold their role and responsibility in directing and operating; implement the process of electronic communication between departments and sectors in handling administrative procedures as the province's foundation database. In addition, each department and sector must set out specific plans and tasks each week and organize the preliminary review and evaluation of the implementation process after each month.
