Election atmosphere spreads among workers

Thanks to propaganda work diversified in line with  Covid-19 prevention and control, the atmosphere of the elections of deputies to the 15^th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure has spread among workers.

At the Hong Phuc lodging facility in Tan Hiep quarter in Di An city’s Tan Binh ward, Thang Thi Ly Huong, a worker of KJ ViNa Co. Ltd. said that apart from updating information about the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure on the press and television, she and her roommates have been propagandized about the elections by the company’s Trade Union, local authorities and mass organizations. This has helped her and many other workers to obvious understand information to well perform their rights and obligations in the upcoming elections.

Di An city’s Youth Union applies information technology and social networking sites to propagandize the upcoming elections among young workers

Also at the lodging facility, Ly Bao On, from An Giang, working for a garment company, said: “From researching information on press as well as through propaganda sessions about the elections from the owner of the lodging facility and local mass organizations, I and you here have understood and will uphold the ownership of citizens, choosing typical people, worthy of representing their will and aspiration in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the new term ”.

Nguyen Thi Hong, the owner of the Hong Phuc lodging facility that has around 100 rooms with nearly 200 lodgers said that her family has actively coordinated with the local government and mass organizations to hold propaganda sessions about the election law, thereby helping workers well practise voters' rights and obligations…

Whilst, Vu Thi Nuot, the owner of a lodging facility in Binh Quoi A in Thuan An city’s Binh Chuan ward said that propaganda sessions about the upcoming elections have been integrated into activities of the lodging facility on Saturday evenings. In addition to propaganda work, she has also updated the list of voters who are employees at the lodging facility  and sent the list to the executive board of the local quarter. Do Thi Nhan, a worker at the lodging facility said: " I have been to the polls twice, so I understand that voting is the responsibility of the citizens”

Many good ways

Binh Duong now has more than 1.2 million employees, 80% of whom are immigrant ones. Therefore, the local authorities, mass organizations at all levels have actively propagandized the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure among workers so that they understand and well perform voters’ rights and obligations. Especially, many propaganda forms in line with Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control have been implemented effectively amid the complicated development of the pandemic.

Lam Hoang Thuy Trang, Secretary of Di An city’s Youth Union said that the city’s  Youth Union has actively coordinated with relevant units to organize appropriate propaganda methods, avoiding mass gatherings. The city’s Youth Fanpage and social networking sites of Youth Union branches have regularly updated official information about the elections as well as citizens’rights and obligations while mobilizing Youth Union members to share official and useful information on their personal social networks, thereby helping people to access information safely, raising their vigilance, and avoid improper news misrepresented by wrongdoers. On the other hand, the Youth Union branches of 7 wards in the city organized 8 mobile propaganda programs, delivered more than 3,000 leaflets about the elections at the local sub-unions for young workers.

Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of Thuan An city’s Women's Union said that Thuan An city Women's Union has deployed and directed its branches to promote election propaganda among members, especially sub-unions for workers at lodging facilities. Particularly, the city’s Women’s Union and its branches have focused on disseminating voters’ rights and obligations in election work; activities in the process of meeting voters; regulations on election order and procedures ... Through the elections, citizens directly vote to select virtuous, talented representatives of people to exercise State power, actively contributing to building, consolidating and perfecting a rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people.
