Exportation picks up tempo in New Year

The new year of 2011 is delightful to enterprises for promising exportation contracts. Mrs. Do Thi Kim Loan – Director of Sao Nam Plywood Company in Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park has claimed full schedule of goods exportation in 2011. In the beginning of the year, the company exported 2 containers of plywood to USA.

 

Although e-Customs is applied, people still register for customs procedures in person at Song Than Customs office.

“Our enterprise has just been invested VND 15 billion to expand our production and purchase of new automated equipments and to reduce work force to meet the demand of this year’s production,” said Mrs. Loan.

Chairman of Binh Duong woodwork association said that woodwork companies are favorable with purchase orders from European countries and the USA.

Meantime, Binh Duong Textile Co. Ltd. has also reported its first exportation of 50,000 garments in 2011. The company’s purchase orders are all signed up to the second quarter of 2011 which is promising to the company. Employees are also encouraged by 2-month bonus equivalent to VND 5 million each. As a matter of fact, ICD Song Than in Binh Duong sees 130% increase of clearance procedures in the beginning of the year. The amount of goods is occupying spaces in the port of ICD Song Than which offers 24/24 services to cool down the demand. Over 5 million tons of goods are expected to be exported.

Currently, e-Customs services are under operation to help enterprises fulfill their export procedures for major goods categories of garments, woodwork, and shoes.
