To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26th 1930 - March 26th 2021), Provincial Youth Union organized volunteer activities in Thanh Hoi commune (Tan Uyen town) to contribute youth to the local socio-economic development.

Standing Committee of Provincial Youth Union present youth project of lighting system worth 100 million VND in Thanh Hoi commune.

To be proud of the history

Rua isle, a peaceful countryside in Thanh Hoi commune is the origin of an excellent commando of Hero of the Armed Forces, Colonel Tran Cong An. On March 19th 1967, he commanded the battle of Ba Kien bridge' watchtower,  a new way of fighting; and then President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree to establish  Special Forces Corps.

During resistance wars to regain peace and independence, our army and people fought with solidarity, dedicated themselves for the country, sacrificed for the national independence. Remembering and being grateful to the sacrifice of previous generations on this island, Youth Union branches participating in this activity visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Dinh in Tan Hoi hamlet, presented four gifts to policy families having difficult circumstances; burnt incense to commemorate heroic martyrs.

This commune has a community library in Thanh Hiep hamlet. This is a life's work of Mai Song Be, former Director of Radio - Television, Chairman of Dong Nai Province Journalist Association. As a child born in this Rua isle, Mr. Mai performed this work in order to widen knowledge, cultivate reading culture of everyone, and educate the young generation about the sovereignty of Paracel and Spratly archipelagos that have been a part of Vietnam for a very long time.

Inside the library is full of books. Mr. Mai also introduced well-known men who contributed to the Southern region; and there are thousands of books, which are intellectual assets that he has accumulated over the past few decades.

Here also has a very unique road of maps. The road in front of the library is impressive with ancient ceramic maps that show the sovereignty over sea and islands of Vietnam. This map road is about 500m long and comprises 40 maps made of ceramic material. These maps were extracted from book named "Hoàng Sa - Trường Sa, luận cứ và sự kiện" (Paracel - Spratly, arguments and events) of researcher Dinh Kim Phuc. The maps were made of ceramic material, have subtle and clear lines. This work strengthens the love of islands, the homeland and this cultural beauty here.

Homeland building

Thanh Hoi commune is an agricultural commune, locals live on farming all year round. Thanh Hoi commune has carried out the new rural construction campaign to improve people's lives, building a rural appearance. In order to join hands with this commune for the new rural construction, Provincial Youth Union awarded a youth project of lighting system worth 100 million VND to help locals build a new road facilitating commutes and development of agriculture.

Furthermore, other Youth branches, such as Youth Union of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises' Bloc also presented 6 bicycles to poor children who overcome difficulties to study well in the commune to motivate them. In addition, Provincial Youth Union and Youth Union of Provincial People's Procuracy executed a project of Youth Road with a total cost of 20 million VND to equip Party flags, Youth Union flags to increase the beauty and sacred meaning of the sea and island path; donated a box of books to Rua isle Library, contributing to provide more knowledge for young people and students.
