Gifts presented to disadvantaged children

In response to the Action Month for Children 2016, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) yesterday presented 150 gifts to poor, street children and those who have the risk of being affected by HIV/AIDS in Hiep An ward and 60 other gifts to members of Chanh Nghia ward’s “Children with HIV/AIDS prevention” club in TDM city.

With the theme of “For safe lives, preventing accidents, injuries for children, this year’s Action Month for Children will take place with such practical activities as visiting, presenting gifts to children on the International Children’s Day (June 1), organizing cultural-sports, taking 100 children with extremely difficult circumstances to Da Lat city in the central Highlands province of Lam Dong, kicking off a forum entitled “For safe lives, preventing accidents, injuries for children”, opening a training course on child protection and care for parents, organizing classes on swimming skills free of charge for around 1,000 children with extremely difficult circumstances…

*On the occasion of the International Children’s Day (June 1), Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College’s Trade Union and Youth Union have just given gifts worth VND50,000 each to 111 school staff’s offspring and took them to Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden.

*Provincial DoLISA has visited and presented gifts to nearly 1,500 needy children who are members of 40 “Children with HIV/AIDS prevention” clubs in TDM city, Thuan An, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen towns with a total expense of VND220mln on the occasion of the International Children’s Day (June 1).

On this occasion, it is expected that the whole province will give more than 40,000 gifts worth more than US$3billion, comprising of cash, bicycles, computers, learning tools…, for workers’ children, those having extremely difficult circumstances and living at social support centers.
