High expectations of youth

This March is an important and meaningful milestone, marking 93 years of construction, development and dedication of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. With pride and excitement, Youth Union cadres and members have been competing to set up specific and practical achievements. This is also an opportunity for each Youth Union member to review the heroic traditions and history of the Youth Union while demonstrating the role and responsibility of youth to be proactive, voluntary and creative in the cause of national construction and protection.

Over the past 93 years, the generations of Vietnamese youth have continued and enhanced the glorious tradition of the Youth Union. It was the tradition of passionate patriotism, absolute loyalty to the Party, and close attachment to interests of the nation and people; volunteerism, readiness to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks; studiousness, diligence and creativity; solidarity, love and mutual help. Many major movements of the Youth Union were implemented, attracting a large number of
Youth Union members and creating good effects in the social community. Besides, the youth volunteer movement continued developing in both quality and quantity. Many programs and campaigns for the sake of the community have attracted a large number of young people. They were recognized, supported and highly appreciated by the society.

Along with the youth of the whole country, over the past time, Binh Duong youth generations made many important contributions to the cause of protecting and building the country in general and the province in particular. Especially in the cause of innovation towards industrialization and modernization, the province's youth have constantly raised awareness and promoted the good qualities and strengths of youth with voluntary spirit.

During its journey, facing difficulties and challenges, the Youth Union needs to further enhance its role, responsibility and determination through specific movements and actions. The Youth Union must be a companion with courage and understanding for young people. The value of the Youth Union will be affirmed when knowing how to arouse and promote the youth's strength and intelligence. The highest goal of the Youth Union is to help young people practice and mature. Innovation in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement needs to be reflected in the spirit of willingness to overcome difficulties, willingness to take on difficult and new tasks, being voluntary in socio-economic development and national defense. It is also about caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Youth Union members, especially disadvantaged youth.
