Impressive figures for the term 2012-2017

After 5 implementation years of the 9th Congress Resolution, term 2012 - 2017, despite many difficulties and challenges, all-level Youth Unions from provincial to grassroots have promoted the spirit of solidarity, voluntariness to overcome difficulties and limitations to successfully implement the 9th Binh Duong Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress Resolution with many categories had reached and exceeded targets. Here are some impressive figures demonstrating some achievements in the last term of provincial youth.

International Voluntary Summer was one of many activities that contributed to the new role of Binh Duong youth in the community.

I. 89,000 is the number of members of Binh Duong province Youth Union. In the last term, provincial Youth Union admitted 9,620 new members. Management of youth members is taken care of with a variety of measures at the grassroots level such as encouraging members take part in local activities; establishing meeting places for migrant young members; training program for members of each bloc; member training associated with performance of professional tasks in agencies’ bloc... Youth Union introduced 15,471 elites for the Party admissions, of which 6,923 members were admitted to the Party.

II. The annual “Voluntary Youth” movement has effectively carried out activities, such as Youth Month, Workers' Month and Binh Duong Young Workers’ Week, summer activities, youth volunteer campaigns in spring and summer; volunteer youth teams of the province came to Champasak province (Laos), Kampongthom, Siemriep (Cambodia) ... attracted nearly 200,000 youth union participants with a support value of over VND5 billion per year, contributing to the new role consolidation of Binh Duong youth in the community.

III. Youth Union has undertaken 39 provincial youth works, 220 district youth works, 8,661 grassroots youth works, 167 programs and projects, totaling nearly 90 VND billion in socio-economic development, international integration, especially in the fields of new rural construction, urban civilization, administrative reform and movements in each youth bloc; opened 427 "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" lanes; performed 1,610 "Green Sunday", "Voluntary Saturday" and 75 flower gardens of "The youth following Uncle Ho's teachings" attracting nearly 200,000 youngsters.

IV. The "Young Creativity" movement has been widely deployed among all subjects, in all fields and geographical areas, which has stimulated and inspired youth creativity in the province. Contests and awards of young creativity continued to be expanded, creating an environment and motivation for creative emulation. In the last five years, young informatics contests, science and technology for the youth attracted nearly 450 candidates, nearly 300 creative ideas of national, provincial, and school level.

V. The project "Uniting and gathering young workers in Binh Duong province" period 2011-2015 and 2016-2020 continued to be implemented by youth union at all levels and achieved god results: established 3,694 young workers’ union branch with 43,000 members. A highlight of the tenure is the establishment and launching of Youth Confederation Committee of Vietnam Foster Electronics Company under Provincial Youth Confederation with more than 13,000 members; establishing 7 young worker connecting clubs in industrial zones; presenting 20 "dream rooms"; mobilizing and recognizing 25 "typical youth lodging houses" in industrial zones and clusters...

VI. The program "Binh Duong youth turning towards national sea and islands" attracted more than 10,000 participants, supported nearly VND3 billion, created extensive spread of patriotism, responsibilities towards the homeland among the whole society. Provincial Youth Union implemented many practical works, such as the installation of " water purification station" for the Command of Coast Guard 2; build flag-salutation yard on Cu Lao Xanh island (Binh Dinh), Lung Bo flagpole (Lao Cai), a park for children and public toilets (Phu Quy island) ... The subordinate units also carried out 3,175 works turning towards the border, islands, attracting nearly 20,000 participants with a total cost of over VND10 billion.

VII. Scheme 103 on "Supporting Youth for Vocational Training and Job Creation" and Project "Youth Consultant, Support and Development Office in Binh Duong Province 2016-2020" youth unions and its subordinate units gave career counseling, introduced jobs to 9,726 young ones, gave vocational training to 14,200 youth members... The highlight was the construction and inauguration of Young Worker and Labor Support Center; building a data bank of “5-good students”, " 3-training students", "information of enterprises"; young human resources’ festival; Disadvantaged migrant worker support fund supported young workers with a total value of nearly VND200 million…
