Under the instruction of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee together with people’s consensus, districts in the northern region of the province have made efforts in developing industrial parks and compounds to absorb more investors in recent years. Upon this, they have shifted their economic structure towards the growth of trade-services in association with urban planning adjustment for a sustainable future.
Breakthrough from poor land
Binh Duong has continued being an ideal destination for investors. This plus other great resources from infrastructure systems, policies…has helped industrial parks, compounds in the northern region of the province further uphold their advantages. The effectiveness of the province’s policy shifting industrial manufacture to the northern region has contributed to creating equal development in terms of urban image, trade-service and improving the quality of people’s quality.
Some northern districts, namely Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen…have emerged as a bright spot of the province and become a strategic zone in the local investment attraction and economic development.
KBS industrial park significantly contributes to North Tan Uyen district’s economic development
With its planning towards industrial development in association with civilized, modern urban development at a high connection with urban areas in the province and the southern key economic zone, Bau Bang district has created a variety of advantages in investment attraction. Bau Bang industrial park now covers more than 2,000 hectares, including 1,000 hectares for industrial manufacture and more than 1,000 hectares for urban, land services. So far, it has been fully covered by investors, mainly from the US, Japan, Taiwan (China), Italia…Some investors with international prestige include Kisswire, Hotta VN, Sun Wood Vina, Suk Mono…
The district now has a well-built regional connectivity traffic system with total investment of thousands of billions of dong. This is one of favorable conditions for enterprises ‘goods transportation. Lee Kap Soo, General Director of KyungBang Vietnam Co.Ltd. said that along with good policies, human resources, infrastructure and services are one of decisive factors for his company to select the district for investment. The district now possesses a good traffic system with fast growing trade-services, facilitating the company’s development.
Also like Bau Bang district, North Tan Uyen district has become a new growth pole of the province with robust growth in industrial manufacture, synchronous traffic infrastructure facilities together with obvious planning policies. In recent years, the district’s economy has continued maintaining stable growth at a high level with strong shift towards industrial production, trade-services. As planned, the district’s total area for industrial and urban zones will be around 2,208 hectares with 5 industrial parks and 1 industrial compound after 2020.
Synchronous traffic infrastructure
North Tan Uyen district now has a modern and synchronous infrastructure system together with investment attraction strategies approved and preferential policies for investors.
Ngo Trong Nghia, General Director of KBS Company, the investor of the KBS industrial park in the district said that the industrial park has a synchronous infrastructure system, contributing to promoting the local industrial manufacture. The industrial park has so far lured 64 investment projects with the land tenancy rate of 99%.

Currently, the district’s sector of trade-services is on vigorous development. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a resident in Tan Thanh commune said that thanks to the efforts by the State, many households herein rose up out of poverty. Many people from all parts of the country also rushed to the district for living, joining hands to turn it into a prosperous land today.
Firm foundation for future
As planned, Becamex IDC will build a sci-tech industrial park in Bau Bang district. According to Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC, this is a new model and its success can create a turning-point for the evolution of the southern key economic zone.
For green and sustainable development, North Tan Uyen district aims at industrial development in association with ecological urban areas. In 2019, the district’s economy continued gaining stable growth with strong shift towards the growth of industrial production, trade-services. The birth of industrial parks in the district will absorb thousands of experts, laborers along increasing demand for housing.
On the other hand, developing VSIP 3 aims to fully tap the local advantages in terms of land fund after the belt streets 4, 5 are built. The VSIP 3 will link with other industrial parks, namely VSIP 2, My Phuoc 1, 2 towards a modern industrial and urban development chain along the belt street 4, helping North Tan Uyen district get stronger development in the coming time.
Whilst, Phu Giao district has selected a sustainable and firm way for development in line with the local real situation. The district has formed up some main groups of industry and home industry like processing of agricultural products, food, exploitation of minerals, manufacture of building materials, woodwork processing with small and medium size. In 2019, the district made planning for 5 industrial compounds with nearly 300 hectares in total.
In Phu Giao district, Hung Hai Thinh Joint Stock Company has so far built a factory making semi-steel radial tyres for the U.S with the annual capacity of 4 million products. The birth of the qualified factor will create the foundation for the rubber latex-processing sector in the great material zone, meeting the local demand for sustainable development.
Along with the birth of Thanh An industrial compound, Dau Tieng district over the past time advocated investors to implement An Lap industrial compound; coordinated with Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. to supplement the establishment of 2 industrial compounds in Thanh An commune with 150 hectares in total. The district also worked with functional agencies to realize the expanded Bau Bang industrial park project in Tan Long commune with 969 hectares and the expanded An Dien industrial park for the phase 3 with 381.21 hectares in An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes.
Upholding its strong points in terms of workforce, land and natural resources, Dau Tieng district is expected to lure more investors in modern, hi-tech and environmentally friendly industrial manufacture. The district has called for effective urban development and investment, facilitating services ‘development. This will help district-based industrial parks and compounds attract more investment projects.
With existing advantages, the industrial sector of districts in the northern region of the province will enjoy a great opportunity for acceleration in the forthcoming time. It is believed that they will further rise up to welcome new opportunities.
Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC said that the sci-tech industrial park in Bau Bang district is expected to be built on an ideal location of 900 hectares, connecting Binh Duong to HCM city, National Highway 13 and the My Phuoc-Tan Van route. The construction of the industrial park aims to attract business groups, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and startups in key manufacturing sectors which can bring about high added-value products suitable to the current development trend.
The industrial park will also cover research and development, and experiments in science and technology. It will offer a connection between institutes and enterprises throughout Vietnam and the world, eventually becoming an education centre attracting high-tech human resources, and providing studies, research activities, and tech transfer.
