Prompted by government approved Project No. 295 on “Supporting females in vocational training and job creation” from 2013 to 2015, Provincial Association of Women has constructed various practical models to train them up, creating new opportunities to overcome poverty.Vocational training focused on easy and of high demand jobsUnder statistics of Provincial Association of Women, 3,346 families out of 6,549 families in poverty are governed by females working mainly on the fields, small shops or jobless with unstable income. Association of Women connects with vocational training facilities to offer industrial garment making to rural females at their working age As the Project No. 295 started, the association has directed wards, communes and townships to grasp up purposes, contents and implementation procedures of the project.Thanks to detail dissemination, the Project was practical for females.Mrs. To Nguyen Anh Thi, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Job Introduction for Women, informed that models of job creation for females had been well implemented.Evidently, the association had opened 18 training courses on industrial garment making, party cooking, family services, hair-dressing, etc. to hundreds of women.The association chose easy and of high demanding jobs in totally frees courses for women before introducing them to suitable jobs.One of the effective models was Cooperative Group of Party Cooking at Minh Hoa Commune of Dau Tieng District. In its more than 1 year of establishment, the group gathered 30 females led by Ms. Tran Thi Lieu – owner of Bay Thuong Restaurant.The model has been duplicated to offer participating members stable income of plus VND 100,000 a day.Another model of income creation was model of meals for industrial establishments in Khanh Hoi Hamlet of Tan Phuoc Khanh Commune in Tan Uyen District as initiated by Ms. Ma Thi Ngoc Phuong.Getting to know some female families having no job locally, the association has linked up with Phuong to open job-readied training courses.On daily basis, those who come to Phuong’s place could earn income from good deliveries and cleaning-up.Joining hands for job creation to femalesFollowing the Project No. 295, local association of women targeted at 70% of female laborers equipped with information about decisions of the Party and legal polices of the State regarding job creation and vocational training; 40% of female laborers are among vocational trainees; 70% having jobs after vocational courses.Sticking to the targets, in 2013, majority of association grassroots from districts to wards and communes, job creation models have been established.Of the job creation programs, associations of women in the grassroots have been supported by organizations and individuals in terms of training.Talking to us, Mrs. Thi informed that the steering board of Project No. 295 has published 17,500 information books giving information about policies of jobs for rural and urban females including models of decorative fish rearing and orchid planting in An Son Commune of Thuan An Town with 79 participating members.
