Departments, agencies and People’s Committees of districts, towns, cities have teamed up to complete preparation steps to create a safe and efficient Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013.

At the report conference on the fruit festival preparation work held on May 14, Nguyen Van Loc, director of the provincial department of Culture, Sport and Tourism cum head of Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013 said that until now, the fruit festival organizing board has launched crucial contents and allowed Viet Craft Village JSC to hold a trade fair with a scale of 150 stalls.

In addition, the provincial Public Security force paid a survey to ensure order and security for the fruit festival and to allocate tasks for relevant units.

At Thuan An town People’s Committee vice chairwoman Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong said that Thuan An completed regulations of “Country color” contest and would implement plans of urging farmer households not to devaluate fruits as stipulated, improving lighting equipments along Cau Ngang dyke, dredging canals and many more.

Hattrick for trademark

Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013 is to re-build a trademark of Lai Thieu orchards – a famous fruit locality and to spread Binh Duong tourism industry, creating impetus for local tourism development.

Therefore, success of the fruit festival will create a very important significance and a hattrick helping retake trademark of Lai Thieu orchards and make a premise for local eco-tourism development.

To bring a lively and jubilant festival, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi asked sectors and agencies and localities to implement the set plans for the sake of the festival’s success.

On May 17, the organizing board of Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013 will hold a farmtrip with the participation of about 50 people from travel agencies inside and outside of the province, press agencies. The participants will make a real survey at Tan Phuoc Khanh pottery villages in Tan Uyen district, Tuong BInh Hiep lacquer village, Lai Thieu orchards, etc.
