Local health sector actively strengthens anti-Covid-19 solutions amid infected cases increasing rapidly

Over the past days, the number of Covid-19 cases in the province increased rapidly, with more than 120 new cases recorded every day. Most of them were mainly detected in the community. The localities logging a high number of Covid-19 cases were Di An city, Ben Cat town, Bau Bang district, Thu Dau Mot city, North Tan Uyen district and Tan Uyen town, respectively.

Up to now, the whole province has logged 6 severe and critical Covid-19 patients who need oxygen, including 3 in need of invasive mechanical ventilation. The province currently has 514 Covid-19 patients being treated. Among them, many are children who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Currently, the health sector is strengthening monitoring of mutations in severe cases; re-evaluating human resources, equipment, chemical supplies, preparing the "4 on-site" model to respond to the pandemic.

According to statistics, more than 259,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been given to children aged at 5-12 years old with the rate of injection with 1st dose at 62% and 2nd dose at more than 35%. For children aged at 12-17, the rate of injection with third dose was nearly 40%. The health sector continue calling on people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 on schedule and in full doses while mobilizing their children and relatives to actively get vaccinated against Covid-19.
