Update: 31-03-2015 | 14:37:46

Early March 30, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee held a conference summing up its activities in resolving collective labor disputes and strikes in the first 3 months of 2015. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee chaired the conference.

In the first 3 months of the year, 17 labor disputes and strikes emerged at 17 enterprises with participation of about 9,798 people in the province. The cause was that the employers have not observed labor regulations on declaration of salary adjustment, bonuses, extra-time payments, deferred salary, and social insurance of the employees.

As for the employees, the requests for improvement of bonuses, allowances, and daily meals have not timely responded by the enterprises.

To mitigate collective labor disputes and strikes, the Steering Board for Resolutions to Collective Labor Disputes and Strikes have grasped up the status of enterprises and employees. Accordingly, it has been directed to major tasks of guiding enterprises to follow legal regulations, clear-cut salary payments and bonuses to enterprises. Besides, the enterprises and employers have paid more attention to work, income and live hood of the employees, relieving labor relationship conflicts.

Addressing the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem demanded all sectors to allocate work and information dissemination for enterprises and employees while boosting inspection on prevention of labor strikes along with talks to enterprises and special care for orders and security in enterprises.
