On the morning of May 13, the Association of Veterans of Phu Tan ward in Thu Dau Mot city held a ceremony to launch the model of veterans running green, clean, beautiful, and zero-waste accommodation for rent.
The model is managed and operated by members of the ward Association of Veterans in response to the criteria of the Project to improve the quality of the campaign to build cultural lifestyle launched by Thu Dau Mot city Party Committee and implemented the criteria of a city without waste.
Accordingly, the ward Association of Veterans encourages members to run the accommodation for rent business to ensure the criteriaof reasonable green area and trees, common place for garbage, and separate living room from restrooms, ensured drainage system, place to dry clothes with adequate lighting conditions and suitable for residential area's aesthetic, general regulations on security and order, fire prevention and fighting, no illegal activities, and no social evils.
The model also comes from the requirement to improve the quality of the living environment of workers in the hostels in the direction of green, clean, beautiful, and comfortable; the roles and responsibilities of the tenants are emphasized in ensuring security and social order at the rented places.
A representative of the Phu Tan ward Association of Veterans said that the new model is implemented in Quarter 1 with initial effectiveness, si the ward will maintain and add additional criteria for the area regarding =green, clean, beautiful, garbage-free to be under evaluation and replication the coming time.
On this occasion, the ward Association of Veterans cooperated with the ward Trade Union to give 10 gifts to young workers with difficult circumstances at the rented places along with a lucky draw program to give gifts to veteran members and the elderly.
