More sources needed for social welfare

Supporting hundreds of billion of VND

In 2011, Binh Duong province’s all level agencies and sectors have made efforts to excel the local goals of socio-economic development and social welfare assurance.

The province has spent VND183bil for local privileged people through subsidies, allowances, health insurance, gratitude house granting and so on. For social objects, the locality has spent VND121bil to support electricity fee, premium and so on for the poor.

In addition, the locality had supported nearly VND52bil and offered preferential loans worth VND17.253bil for 650 households as well as held goods selling journeys with stabilized prices across rural areas, residential quarters and industrial parks.

Social welfare policies ensured

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung, said the province has made efforts to excel policies of social welfare assurance. However, owing to inflation and price hike…, laborers and public employees’ life have faced many difficulties. The local authority will focus on effective measures to ensure social welfare for laborers.

The chairman asked all level agencies to excel social housing projects to solve accommodation for low-incomers. Once the project completed, tasks of social welfare will help ensure a sustainable human resource for the province.
