*The province’s sector of education and training last year mobilized nearly VND2billion from organizations and individuals to award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils. Of the total figure, VND1billion came from provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) amd VND240million was contributed by provincial Study Promotion Association.

Since early the 2017-2018 academic year, provincial DoET has continued mobilizing donors to award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils with a total expense of VND776million.

*In 2017, Phu Giao district well realized a task of socialization in education. Support activities for district-based schools reached around VND3billion. The district’s Study Promotion Association also mobilized individuals and organizations to support 692 scholarships, books, notebooks, bicycles…for need pupils with good academic results with a total value of approximately VND1billion.

*In the first semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, Thuan An town-based secondary school held extracurricular activities in association with socio-political events. Particularly, they made dissemination of information about traffic order-safety, population-environmental hygiene, prevention of HIV/AIDS and drug…with numerous contents and forms.

*Provincial Job Placement Center will organize an 80-hour training course on labor safety and hygiene at the real demand of units and enterprises in the province.
