Nguyen Tan Dung re-elected Prime Minister

Nguyen Tan Dung was officially re-elected Prime Minister by the 13th National Assembly on July 26 with 470 votes, accounting for 94 percent.

 Also on July 26, Nguyen Thi Doan was elected State Vice President with 95.2 percent of the votes, Truong Hoa Binh was made Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court with 96.2 percent, and Nguyen Hoa Binh was chosen as Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy with 93.8 percent of the votes.

NA deputies expressed their hopes that the re-elected PM and his cabinet will focus more attention on dealing with current difficulties, curbing inflation, stabilizing the macro economy, and ensuring social welfare.

They also want the government to devise ways to improve the effectiveness of State-owned economic groups and promote production.
