Offering gifts to people in isolation and blockade areas

*“Zero dong” market-day supports people

On July 14, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Student Association Secretariat in collaboration with Northern Ireland Development and Investment Joint Stock Company offered 5 tons of vegetables and fruits to people and students in isolation and blockade areas in the province.

Accordingly, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee donated 3 tons of vegetables, and fruits to the Youth Unions of Ben Cat town and  Tan Uyen town. This was a very meaningful activity, showing the spirit of solidarity, sharing and joining hands with all-level authorities and sectors to support people, students to overcome difficulties amid the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic.

On the same day, provincial Youth Volunteer Team also visited and gave support for Di An city’s Youth Union to serve the local Covid-19 prevention and control.

*On the afternoon of July 14, Thu Dau Mot city’s Youth Union cooperated with the city’s Red Cross Society to organize a “Zero dong” market-day program for people affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

The organizers prepared necessities like rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, instant noodles, shampoo, eggs, cakes for about 500 people who are laborers living at lodging facilities and people with difficult circumstances in Hoa Phu ward’s quarter 1. Each person must keep a safe distance, wear a mask, and wash hands before entering the market-day’s goods receiving areas.

On the afternoon of the same day, people in the blockade area of the ward were offered rice from the rice ATM with 5 tons of rice prepared together with many necessities from the program. It is known that the total value of gifts supported from the program is worth more than VND 250 million.

*On the afternoon of July 14, provincial Military Command’s Youth Union and provincial Red Cross Society organized a delegation to visit and give gifts for patients at provincial General Hospital. Accordingly, the delegation graciously visited, encouraged and offered 30 gifts worth VND15million to patients undergoing dialysis – hemodialysis treatment at provincial General Hospital.
