Over 32,000 farmers win “good farmer in production-business” title

Early December 29, provincial Farmers’ Association held a conference to review its activities in 2017, in attendance of Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council.

In 2017, the association and its branches considered and provided more than 2,300 households with more than VND54billion in loan from many other resources. They also launched a movement of “good farmer in production-business” with more than 38,000 members registering for participation. As a result, there were 32,000 members winning the title of “good farmer in production-business” at all levels. In addition, members of provincial Farmers’ Association and its branches made contributions worth more than VND21.7billion to the local new rural construction movement…

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Canh spoke highly of effective operations by provincial Farmers’ Association and its branches over the past time. In the coming time, the association’s Standing Committee needs to research and propose adjustment of working regulations of provincial Support Fund for Farmers for better development.

On this occasion, 4 individuals were awarded the certificates of merit of the PM. Provincial Farmers’ Association also presented the emulation banner to Thuan An town’s Farmers’ Association; the certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals for their excellent performance in 2017.
