Persist in implementing Project 02

Project 02 on "Community mobilization in building cultural and civilized lifestyle (culture - civilization) in Binh Duong province in 2021-2025" (Project 02) issued by the Provincial Party Committee in 2021 plays a crucial role in raising awareness and building cultural and civilized lifestyle. After nearly 3 years of implementation, the project has achieved positive results, contributing to creating a new appearance for the locality.

The constructions for the public

To promote the role of mass mobilization work, in the past time, the project has mobilized the participation of all levels, sectors, organizations, and the entire population in building a cultured and civilized lifestyle, thereby creating many works bearing the mark of "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people enjoy". For example, the concrete canal road project in Phu Hoi irrigation area (Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An city) has just been completed with a total length of 710m, and the implementation cost of 760 million VND. Previously, this road was only paved with stones, and it deteriorated even more severely due to the high density of regular traffic. Recognizing the need to upgrade this road promptly to facilitate people's travel, the People's Committee of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam Ward has requested approval from the district committee; discussed with the neighborhood, the Front Committee, and mobilized funds within the community to organize the "Vegetarian Buffet" program to support the implementation of this project. After nearly 1 month of construction, the road has now been officially opened to traffic, clean, beautiful, and safe. The people are also extremely happy and excited when the project has been completed on schedule.

Over the past time, localities in the province have paid attention to investing in renovating and constructing many parks, creating many landscapes to provide living spaces for residents.

In Thu Dau Mot City, despite the high population density and rapid urbanization, it is not too difficult to find recreational spots, entertainment areas such as mini parks. Dozens of mini parks have been built, with the most located on streets like Cach Mang Thang Tam, Huynh Van Luy, Nguyen Van Tiet, Huynh Van Cu, Huynh Van Nghe, Phu Loi, etc. Many people have noticed that the parks have made changes, bringing a new vitality to the urban landscape. Inside the parks, the scenery, various corners, and some facilities have been gradually renovated and beautified, attracting more and more people to come for activities, entertainment, and relaxation.

In An Dien commune, Ben Cat town, the movement of road construction is actively responded by the people through voluntary contributions of land, money, and labor days. Many inter-village roads have been upgraded, constructed, contributing to the socio-economic development, changing the local landscape. Over a week ago, An Son hamlet, An Đien commune has just completed the upgrade of hot asphalt concrete road route An Dien 092. The road has a total length of 350m, a width of 5.4m, and the road surface is paved with hot asphalt concrete. To have this road, the people in the hamlet have donated 1,200m2 of land (worth about 3.6 billion VND); the cost of upgrading the road is 1.5 billion VND funded entirely by 2 individuals in An Son hamlet.

Impressive results

The above projects are among many projects associated with the implementation of the "Community Participation in Building Cultural and Civilized Lifestyle Project in Binh Duong Province for the period 2021-2025". It is known that over the past nearly 3 years, districts, towns, and cities in the province have invested in and upgraded neighborhood offices and hamlets to meet the criteria as prescribed by more than 80%. Besides that, localities have also allocated budgets, mobilized social investment, maintained many rural transportation routes; asphalted, concretized roads, alleys (reaching 47.9%); dredged, cleared canals, ditches, streams to be spacious, clean and beautiful.

At the same time, localities have paid attention to investing in renovating and constructing 117 new parks, landscapes, increasing the total number of parks and landscapes in the province to 264 parks and gardens, creating many spaces for cultural activities and exchanges for the people. The coordination, propaganda, and mobilization of food stalls and restaurants to equip trash bins, display prices, ensure hygiene, and food safety are also concerns and actions taken by localities. Prominent like Thu Dau Mot City, Phu Giao district, investments have been made in renovating, building cultural houses in neighborhoods, hamlets meeting the criteria as required to achieve 100%; 100% of wards, communes, towns have parks, flower gardens or common activity spaces.
