Phu Cuong Ward to become the heart of future Thu Dau Mot City

Phu Cuong Ward’s Party Committee has proposed action plans to construct a locality as the heart to the future Thu Dau Mot City from now to 2015. Targets and missions utmostly are legacy build-up flourished after heroic struggle to liberate the people.

Upto date, the well-minded elders still remember and retell stories about Khoi nghia Nam Ky (Southern Region Up-rising) on August 24, 1945 when the forces at Phu Cuong and nearby villages were preparing to celebrate a great event and the females were preparing in the sidelines. The armed units were allocated into major positions across Phu Cuong, Phu Tho, Phu Hoa, and Chanh Hiep to fight back enemy’s sabotage.

Legacy to a future city

Recovering from wars, the local party committee, authority and the people of Phu Cuong Ward joined hands in developing a worthy center for politics, economy and society.

Prominently, in 2005-2010 period, growth rate of this locality was relatively high, asserted Mrs. Nguyen Thu Cuc People’s Committee Chairwoman. It was thanks to right economic direction and infrastructure development.

However, the achievements were not enough to follow up 3-target breakthrough proposed by the Party Committee including infrastructure development, civil life, and staffs buiding.

As for infrastructure construction, the local authority will cooperate with functional agencies to boost up investment facilities and to broaden current roads and parks. Traffic roads will be extended to support socio-economic development. meanwhile, green trees and urban sanitation will be focused for 5 years.

Beside, civil life should be maintained and promoted by propaganda and education. Administrative reforms are promoted on daily basis. To achieve such goals, Mrs. Cuc stressed on training officers and cadres who are worthy of moral and political value.

However, reality lies within unity of the people, local authority, and Party Committee to develop a city center meeting all the standards of modern and civil city.
