Typical examples in national security movements

Implementing the Party and State’s instructions on order security in the new period, the movement of “All people protect national security” in the province has over years been reinforced and developed widely. Accordingly, many models with volunteer spirit have been set up.

According to the provincial Public Security, the entire province has set up 81 clubs with about 2,700 members. Under the local administration and local public security’s instruction, most of the anti-crime clubs have gone into good operation, helping maintain order security at grassroot levels. The clubs have found out over 1,000 violations and offered useful information for functional agencies.

Regarding achievements of the anti-crime clubs in the province, we have to refer to Phu Hoa ward anti-crime club in Thu Dau Mot town. The Phu Hoa ward anti-crime club is one of clubs being established firstly. Since 1997, the ward anti-crime club has found out 621 violations, arresting over 1,200 offenders.

Excellent members of the ward anti-crime club include Nguyen Thanh Hai, Tran Hoang Anh… Since 1997, Nguyen Thanh Hai and other members have arrested 553 violations and offer valued information for public security force. Since Aug. 2006, Hai and his members have arrested over 270 thieves and robberies. With such achievements, collectives and individuals of the ward anti-crime club were awarded Exploit Order third class, medals for brave youths and merit certificates.

Some members of the club suffered revenge from offenders but their spirit remain more determined. Many local youths volunteer to join in the club.

Meanwhile, An Phu ward anti-crime club has done typical achievements after Phu Hoa ward anti-crime club. Founded in 2002 with 36 members, An Phu ward anti-crime club has really upheld its efficiency. In the first half of this year, the club found out 42 violations. The club has so far had 126 members.

And, there are numerous other anti-crime clubs across districts and townships. They include Tan Dong Hiep ward anti-crime club, An Tay and Hoa Loi anti-crime clubs. The clubs have helped maintain order security for the community.
