According to Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Director of provincial Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Surveillance, the goal of developing Binh Duong into a locality with sustainable, comprehensive and fast economic growth is a great challenge for management work on natural resources and environment. That’s reason why the planning for the province’s natural resources, environmental surveillance network is necessary and urgent. 

 Planning for natural resources and environmental surveillance will help policy makers to raise  timely and right policies in the task of protecting the environment and properly using natural resources, ensuring the local sustainable development target.

Provincial People’s Committee has assigned provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment the task of implementation of the planning for the province’s natural resources, environmental surveillance network till 2020 under the Law on Environmental Protection.

Accordingly, in the 2011-2015 period, the department will make environmental surveillance in a synchronous way; perfect organizational structure and management apparatus; strengthen equipment and material facilities on surveillance; train human resources at the requirements of the province’s natural resources, environmental surveillance network till 2020; upgrade database on natural resources and environment…

The department will further perfect the construction of surveillance stations and put them into operation; improve personnels’qualification to meet the requirements of the national natural resources and environmental surveillance network in the 2016-2020 period.

To ensure management on natural resources and environment at the province’s targets on socio-economic development till 2020, the task of expanding surveillance network, improving the quality of surveillance work and staff is very necessary and urgent.
