Promoting abilities, pioneering spirit in the Youth Month

Talking to Binh Duong Newspaper reporters about provincial youth activities in the Youth Month, Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union, said union members, young persons, students in the province needed to promote their abilities, intelligence, pioneering spirit, creativity… on all fields to excellently complete all tasks during the month.

- During the 2016 Youth Month, Binh Duong youth will have which practical activities, madam?

- Implementing the Central Union Secretariat’s directive, provincial Youth Union identified 2016 Youth Month with the theme “Being proud of Ho Chi Minh’s era youth” and the motto “Young persons act for the community, the society take care, cultivate young persons”. Accordingly, in 2016 Youth Month, youth branches will undertake meaningful works for their locality. Each youth branch of district or equivalent level will undertake at least one youth project, encourage units to register and realize one “Cultural alley, street, road”; 100% youth branches will contribute ideas to organize “Party with the youth, the youth and Party” or meetings, dialogues between Party, governmental leaders and youth members; 100% youth branches will arrange at least 2 days of “Green Sunday" or "Voluntary Saturday”; simultaneously organize “Voluntary Saturday to solve administrative procedures for the people"; 100% district-level youth branches will hold Vietnam Youth Festival themed “I love my fatherland" and Union Day themed “Being proud of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s member”; 100% detachments will organize "Children's Health Day – Advancing to the Youth Union”.

Particularly, at the provincial level, at the launching ceremony of 2016 Youth Month, provincial Youth Union started construction of 2 red scarf houses for poor studious children; inaugurated 1 children's playground in residential area; inaugurated the project of “Installing free billboard for small ads” and street of “Clean sidewalk - beautiful street corner" in Di An town.

Besides, during the Youth Month, provincial Youth Union will offer 5 compassionate houses to disadvantaged children, offer meaningful gifts in Ha Giang province, organize a political activity session “Being proud of Ho Chi Minh’s era youth” and other activities to commemorate the 85^th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union foundation day, like: get-together of Youth Union cadres of Binh Duong - Binh Phuoc province on Mar 22, Vietnam Youth Festival “Being proud of Ho Chi Minh’s era youth”; a gratitude program for Vietnam heroic mothers, “Enrollment counseling and Career guidance” 2016 for high school students in the province; Union Day “Being proud of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s member”; activities supporting workers, children's health festival…, and propaganda activities of the 10^th Binh Duong Party Congress Resolution, the 12^th National Party Congress Resolution, the election of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels…

A new feature of this year's Youth Month is organizing activities into a large chain, ensuring that all objects could be engaged in meaningful activities, each activity will target specific participant…

- How can Youth Month activities become in-depth and widespread?

- We continue to focus on synchronous, breakthrough solutions associated with tasks of each locality, unit; cooperate closely with sectors to perform well tasks; efficiently utilize resources in support of these activities, reduce province-level activities to focus on grassroots-level activities, especially units in difficult areas to mobilize the participation of the whole society, all youth members. In addition, provincial Youth Union built up plans, gave directives to youth branches in Youth Month organization in accordance with both general orientations and actual situation of each locality, unit…

In order for 2016 Youth Month to become widespread activities, we hope to receive more the attention, the participation of the Party, government, unions, sectors to create favorable conditions for young persons to perform their tasks and promote their pioneering role, as well as further care for union cadre’s life, then they could dedicate themselves to youth activities…
