Province takes measures to fulfill tasks in second half of year

The Executive Board of the 9th provincial Party Committee, on July 12, held its 5th session to seek measures to fulfill the province’s tasks in the second half of the year.

 Targets in first half of year get good results

The province’s socio-economic performance in the first half of the year achieved positive changes.

Particularly, the province reached a GDP growth of 13.2% compared to last year’s same period; secured nearly VND52.8trillion in industrial production value, up 17.5% and gained more than VND25.56trillion in total retail sales revenue of commodities and services, up 30%.

The province’s export turnover also reached US$4.105bln, up 19.5%. Some export products gained high growth such as garment-textile increasing by 11.9%, woodwork by 4.2%, footwear by 2.7%…

Also during the time, the whole province absorbed more than US$444mln in FDI capital and VND12.37trillion in domestic investment capital; saw stability in agricultural development and achieved positive results for the set targets in terms of investment, health, education…

Key measures

To fulfill the province’s tasks in the second half of the year, provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung has instructed sectors and levels to reasonably implement financial policies, cut down public investments while boosting measures to support businesses to overcome difficulties.

Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung has also suggested sectors and levels to continue drastically taking measures to fulfill the province’s targets in socio-economic development in the second half of the year.

Especially, they need to give priority to taking measures to curd inflation, control over credit growth, provide loans for agricultural-rural development, small and medium-sized enterprises, supportive industries…; control over the issues of currency, credit, exchange rate, foreign currency market and gold trading; tighten over the operations of province-based commercial banks…

According to Mr.Cung, the province will also focus on removing businesses’ obstacles and queries; give priority the development of health and education fields; strength to maintain security and social order…
