Provincial Red Cross Society organizes many meaningful humanitarian activities

On August 2, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with localities to organize numerous humanitarian activities to support disadvantaged people.

Delegates witness the signing ceremony for the handover of the work to the 2nd facility of Thanh Tuyen Kindergarten

Accordingly, provincial Red Cross Society organized a program to give milk to elderly people in need in Phu An commune and An Tay ward at Phu Thu hamlet’s Cultural House in Ben Cat city’s Phu An commune. With the support of Nutifood through the Vietnam Talent Development Fund, 76 elderly people received nutritional milk gifts worth VND1million each. This program not only demonstrates cared for the elderly, but also contributed to improving their quality of life and boosting their spirit.

*On the same day, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Red Cross Society of Ben Cat city and Phu An commune to hold a ceremony to hand over a Red Cross house to the family of Duong Thi Vao, born in 1985, residing in Phu An commune’s Phu Thu hamlet.

Mrs. Vao’s family faces housing difficulties. She works as a helper at a restaurant, has two young children, and her husband is a construction worker. She also takes care of her elderly and frequently ill father. The house has an area of 60 square meters and a total construction cost of VND 120 million, including VND 80 million from provincial Red Cross Society and VND 40 million from the family.

At the house handover ceremony, the family also received many gifts from provincial Red Cross Society, Ben Cat city, the ward, the quarter and other units. This support is a significant encouragement for the family’s members to stabilize their lives and improve their living conditions.

*On the same day, provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the sponsoring unit, organized a ceremony to hand over a semi-boarding kitchen to the 2nd facility of Thanh Tuyen Kindergarten in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen commune. The 2nd facility of Thanh Tuyen Kindergarten has a total of 80 students. All of them attend the school’s semi-boarding activities, but the old kitchen was only 41 square meters and its equipment was degraded.

With support from CapitaLand Vietnam, provincial Red Cross Society helped the school build a new kitchen of 100 square meters. The project, valued at VND 700 million, includes a main kitchen area, a dining room, and a warehouse, all designed under a one-way kitchen principle.
