In nearly 25 years of development, the provincial club of pensioners has become home and meeting place for the pensioners who need to live healthily. Minh Khoa, an elderly member of the club said: “I have joined the club ever since 1996 when we only met to chat and participated into healthy activities.” As for Tran Hao, the ending years of his life are like the mornings. Every third day of each month, the club meets with specific concerned topic varying from news to experiences of healthcaring and family care. For the past time, the club has organized visiting teams to encourage and offer gifts to 885 turns of members being ill at the cost of nearly VND 38 million and obituaries to 225 members at the cost of over VND 27 million. Evaluating the operation of the club, permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, cum Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Vu Minh Sang highly appreciated the efforts made to overcome difficulties and challenges in improving quality of operation. The members have been leading in movements of modeling for the younger generations ever since the establishment of the club in line with the policies and decisions of the Party, the State and localities.
