Provincial leader shares experience with Hai Duong province on social housing development

On February 15, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Delegation received a delegation of Hai Duong provincial Party Committee, led by Nguyen Manh Hien, member of the PCC, Secretary of Hai Duong provincial Party Committee.

At the reception, Mr.Hien said: “Binh Duong has always had creative ways in line with the local real situation, bringing high efficiency. Especially, the province has recently excelled at social housing development. We need to learn about this as Hai Duong is also a locality with industrial parks, absorbing a large number of immigrant laborers”.

For his part, Mr.Nam thanked other localities, especially Hai Duong for their attention to the issue of Binh Duong’s social housing development. He affirmed that not only Becamex IDC, many other enterprises in Binh Duong have also getting involved in social housing development. But, Becamex IDC is a main unit in this field as this is an enterprise specialized in developing infrastructure facilities and large-scale industrial parks in the province. Building social housing areas for laborers also helps Becamex IDC express its responsibility for the province.

Binh Duong has so far developed 85 social housing projects with a total floor area of 3.9 million square meters. Among them, 43 are under Becamex IDC with 70,000 apartments of 3.1 million square meters. There are also 200 enterprises building houses for laborers with a total floor area of 270,000 square meters. Besides, the province has over 3 million square meters of lodging facilities, supplying accommodations for laborers.
