Provincial leader welcomes Japanese ambassador

On the afternoon of December 13, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Kunio Umeda, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam.

At the reception, Mr.Liem briefly informed the ambassador of the local socio-economic development and FDI attraction attraction. The province has so far absorbed 294 FDI projects capitalized at more than US$5.1billion from Japanese enterprises. These projects focus on the fields of infrastructure-urban construction, trade-services, electronic components…, actively contributing to the local development.

He also said that 2018 was the year marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Along with organizing celebrations, Binh Duong boosted exchanges with localities in Japan. He wanted that cooperation between Vietnam and Japan will get more and more steadfast. The ambassador will further introduce more Japanese enterprises to the province’s investment climate.

Mr.Kunio Umeda thanked the attention of Binh Duong’s government to Japanese enterprises. He spoke highly of the province’s synchronous infrastructure with favorable policies for enterprises while suggesting that the government of the province needs to pay attention to Japanese training, contributing to promoting investment from Japan in the province.
