Provincial leaders receive co-chairman of VSIP Joint Venture Company

Late January 26, Mai The Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Secretary of provincial Party Committee had a working session with Kelvin Teo, Co-Chairman of Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Joint Venture Company.

At the reception, Mr.Kelvin Teo informed Mr.Trung about VSIP Joint Venture Company’s operations over the past time. In 2014, province-based VSIPs absorbed more than US$600mln in FDI capital. Upholding achievements done in Binh Duong, VSIPs were developed in many other localities. Provincial leaders made contributions to the success of VSIPs. He also said that along with infrastructure development and investment attraction, the company would focus on human resource, service and urban development. Accordingly, the company would promote the model of industrial-service-urban complex towards sustainable development.

Mr.Trung spoke highly of the efforts by the company while saying that despite difficulties, province-based VSIPs operated very effectively over the past time, contributing to the local socio-economic development. He also applauded the company’s development orientation on the model of industrial-service-urban complex and investment attraction for hi-tech projects. According to him, this was in line with the province’s sustainable development strategy and believed that the company would successfully carry out its model of industrial-service-urban complex. He also extended best regards to leaders and staff of the company.

Following this event, Tran Van Nam, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee also met with Mr.Kelvin Teo.

At the meeting, Mr.Kelvin Teo informed Mr.Nam about the company’s operations last year and its development strategy in the next year. Mr.Nam also spoke highly of the role of VSIPs in investment attraction while saying that Binh Duong would create favorable conditions for the company to further fly.
