Results of new rural building

After 3 years of implementation of agriculture, farmer, rural program, Binh Duong has had positive changes. However, the province remains difficulties and challenges.

In the 2008-2010 period of implementing new rural building, local agricultural structure shifted to valued goods including a 2.6% increase in animal husbandry…

The entire province has put into operation 3 hi-tech agriculture areas with the total area of over 972ha in Phu Giao district’s An Thai, Tan Hiep and Hieu Liem communes. Besides, the province built 11 hi-tech models in Thuan An town’s An Thanh and Binh Chuan wards. Some irrigation works of Phuoc Hoa, An Son-Lai Thieu dyke ensured water supply for 14,626ha. The result spurred the program to reach many goals set out by the central.

The provincial rural economy has shifted to industry and service with development of industrial and agricultural services. Specifically, local farmers enjoy an average income of VND19mil per capita per year. Over 97% of rural houses are built firmly, 64.50% of local population enjoys medical insurance, 95.43% of households reach cultural family titles, 62.77% of quarters win cultural standards, 95% of rural families use clean water…

Keeping investment in agricultural and rural development

With over VND642bil for investment in agriculture, farmer and rural areas in 2011, the province allocates VND38bil for agor-forestry and aquatic products, VND604bil for rural socio-economic facility, VND263bil for education, VND13bil for healthcare and VND42bil for culture…

Accordingly, till 2015 the province will focus on building an overall agriculture with high competition, developing key trees of rubber, safe vegetable, fruits under models of industrial farmsteads in a bid to ensure food safety and hygiene and environment.

To excel the set goals, the province will issue proper policies to encourage businesses. Besides, businesses will enjoy assistance on manpower training, market development…

In addition, Binh Duong has kept encouraging businesses to invest in food for animals and develop material areas… All the goals are to place jobs, improve income for people and contribute to build new rural areas sustainably.
