Solutions on Trade Union development in new context put forward

Early May 14, provincial Party Committee held a conference to review and propose solutions to further implement provincial Party Standing Committee’s Action Program No.33-CTr/TU dated December 15, 2016 on Trade Union development in the new context.

According to a report by provincial Labor Union, as of late 2019, the whole province had a total of 3,658 trade union locals with more than 785,400 members. The province has so far had 789 businesses with 25 laborers and above, but they have not set up trade union locals yet.

Addressing the event, Mr.Thao stressed that units and localities must build up a qualified workforce, limiting the risks of causing the local disorder; develop emulation movements; create a breakthrough in dealing with difficulties in promoting trade union locals. Sectors and authorities at all levels also need to pay attention to policies for the Trade Union as well as creating harmonious relations between the Trade Union, enterprises and workers.
