Spring in Tan Uyen town

Spring is coming. To have a happy and meaningful spring, according to the plan, on 17 Jan, leadership of the town organized delegations to visit, extend new year wishes and give gifts to policy families on occasion of Tet Festival 2019. Meaningful gifts will also be given to poor households in order for all households are able to enjoy a happy new year with their family.

All homes enjoy Tet

In recent days, Tan Uyen town has been thrilled by Tet activities for policy families and poor households. The list of those who received Tet gifts was reviewed by the town Office of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. According to the plan, on Tet 2019, besides the central budget, the province supports over VND 7.1 billion for 4,945 policy beneficiaries; the town budget supports 5,388 policy beneficiaries, 20 units, sponsored organizations, and 4,777 social subjects with a budget of over VND 4.5 billion. Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thy, Deputy Head of the town Office of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said: “Taking care of revolutionary contributors, especially on Tet Festival, demonstrates our national tradition of “Drinking water, remember it source”. Poor households are also given timely supports; thus creating conditions for all social policy beneficiaries to enjoy the traditional Tet holidays”.

All people have Tet. That is the policy of Tan Uyen town leadership. Therefore, the town People's Committee instructed governmental bodies to learn about difficult circumstances to have timely support plan. Specifically, the town Health Center considered officials, who work far away from home, are in difficult circumstances, and cannot afford to return home on Tet. Besides being supported by the town, These officials will receive visits and gifts from their units.

Do not miss any disadvantaged cases, especially workers in difficult circumstances, on this year's Tet holidays, 1,000 poor workers away from home will be supported VND 500,000 each person by the town. This gift is, in addition to the material meaning, will encourage their spirit, help to strengthen worker’s commitment to their work.

To take care together

Each unit has its own ways to support and care for difficult people. Tan Uyen town Youth Union cooperated with Sports Culture Center to organize a cultural show, give Tet gifts to workers away from home, and to give gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances and workers away from home. The delegation also organized a visit and gave gifts to Youth Union secretaries, head of youth associations, worker’s clubs. With above activities, indeed the spring has been coming all over the town.

In communes and wards, activities to take care on Tet for policy beneficiaries, poor households are happening very bustling. In Thai Hoa ward, thanks to socialization fund, on this year’s Tet holidays, the ward has prepared over 460 gifts for policy beneficiaries, poor and difficult households, lonely old people, young workers away from home... This is a regular activity of the ward to help families to be united and warm during spring days.

Taking care of policy families and people in difficult circumstances on Tet holidays has now become the responsibility of the whole society. Therefore, on this Lunar New Year, organizations and individuals in and out of Tan Uyen town continue to support cash and gifts, organize visits to policy families and social subjects.

The joint effort of the whole society in taking care social and policy beneficiaries on Tet Festival promises that all families would welcome a joyful and happy spring.
