Many practical poverty reduction programs in Tan Uyen town

To support poor people in home-based business development, since 2016, Tan Uyen town has mobilized over 86 billion VND, helping poor and near-poor households borrow money for husbandry and production development.

In order for poor and near-poor households, members of mass organizations updated their scientific and technological knowledge to apply into production and animal husbandry. People's Committees of communes and wards collaborated with associations and unions to give training courses and scientific technological transfers. Up to now, the town has organized 117 classes for over 4,300 people on techniques of cultivation, husbandry, using fertilizers, plant protection drugs, growing vegetables according to VietGAP standards ... Seminars , introduction of new science and technology are also held regularly for farmers.

Thanks to efforts in poverty reduction, by the end of 2018, the town had only 272 poor households / 26,068 households, achieving rate of 1.04%.
