Supervisory Board of Ben Cat town People’s Council makes reality survey on public investment implementation in 2022

On October 25, the Supervisory Board of the People's Council of Ben Cat town had a survey to monitor the situation and results of the implementation of the 2022 public investment plan in the town.

Accordingly, the delegation went to the site and supervised 3 projects of building a new Do bridge across the Thi Tinh river. According to the report, the construction has been of 83% of the contract, and the total disbursement value was more than VND 79 billion. Regarding the project to clear and bend the flow downstream of Quan canal to Thi Tinh river, 51% of the foundation have been constructed under the total disbursement value of more than VND 11 billion. Regarding the project to upgrade the route from National Highway 13 to Ong Nam Dong fork at Quarter 4 of My Phuoc ward, works on the list of transitional projects and construction have been 92% of the contract volume.

Working with the supervisory team and leaders of the town's People's Committee, relevant departments and agencies said the advantages and disadvantages have been named in the process of construction to be specifically administrative procedures for handing over the premises and solving problems of site clearance, the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, and the high price of raw materials, causing problems for contractors during project implementation.

Concluding remarks at the monitoring session, Nguyen Van Doi – Deputy Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Cat town highly appreciated the efforts to overcome difficulties of the town People's Committee and related sectors to implement the projects during the time. At the same time, he also wanted the town's People's Committee to pay more attention to site clearance to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, and to continue to closely direct to complete the works on schedule.
