Taking care of workers from a project

Over the past years, units realizing the Project on uniting and gathering young workers upheld their role in taking care of the spiritual and material lives of young workers, helping them keep their mind in work, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

In the 2016-2020 period, provincial Steering Board for the Project on uniting and gathering young workers and its branches organized many activities taking care of young workers and their children. Particularly, they provided free medical check-ups and medicine for young workers with difficult circumstances; organized journeys “connecting young workers”, “pink” semesters for the offspring of young workers…and many other social activities.

The Steering Boards at all levels also worked with relevant units to mobilize 2 million Tet gifts while advising provincial People’s Committee on offering 12,000 Tet gifts and giving free bus and plane tickets for young workers to travel home for Tet…In addition, they donated “dream” rooms, support packages from the Fund for Young Workers with difficult circumstances; organized festivals giving strength to young workers; held mid-autumn festivals for young workers ‘offspring at lodging facilities, charity classes; built recreational areas for children…

Especially, the Steering Board at all levels also delivered more than 134,000 masks and 20,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to young workers at lodging facilities; coordinated with provincial Young Entrepreneurs ‘Association to give gifts worth more than VND1billion for young workers with difficult circumstances or those who were affected by Covid-19. They also offered more than 7,810 gifts worth around VND1.9billion to young workers and lottery ticket vendors with difficult circumstances; supported more than 300 young workers, including leaders of youth groups, facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic.

According to provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Steering Boards at all levels worked with the Youth Union to organize more than 5,000 propaganda shows and deliver more than 104,000 propaganda leaflets to youth sub-unions, lodging facilities and companies across the province. The youth volunteer squad on legal dissemination under provincial Center for Youth Activities also held 484 mock trials, forums and 2,500 shows on legal dissemination at youth sub-unions, lodging facilities by many forms, thereby contributing to building up the awareness of “living and working under the law” among young workers.

Possibly seeing, provincial Project on uniting, gathering young workers has upheld its comprehensive efficiency with more than 100,000 young workers gathered in the Youth Union and associations together with hundreds of thousands of workers approaching and enjoying social welfare activities, contributing to improving the awareness of enterprises, people from all strata for the local development. So far, young workers living away from home have enjoyed achievements on the province’s socio-economic development, thereby having a long attachment with the province…
